Travel should be easy for every Muslim.
TravelHalal exists because finding honest, practical information as a Muslim traveller is still harder than it should be.
We know the questions. Is there a mosque nearby? Will I find halal food? Is this destination welcoming to Muslim families? These aren't niche concerns — they're the first things a Muslim traveller thinks about when planning a trip.
Generic travel blogs don't answer these questions. TripAdvisor doesn't filter for halal. Google Maps gets it wrong. So we built the resource we wished existed.
What we cover in every guide
- 🕌Mosques & Prayer Spaces
Not just the famous landmarks — the practical spots near where you'll be staying and sightseeing.
- 🍽️Halal Food
Restaurants, markets, supermarkets. Certified halal where possible, with honest notes on verification.
- 🌙Ramadan Guidance
What changes during Ramadan, where to find iftar, local customs to be aware of.
- 👨👩👧Family Travel
Whether a destination is comfortable for modest dress, child-friendly, and generally welcoming.
- 📍Practical Tips
Getting a local SIM, transport, neighbourhoods to stay in — the unglamorous stuff that matters.
Our Muslim Friendliness Score
Every destination gets a score from 1 to 5. It's not a judgement on the place — it's a practical assessment of how easily a Muslim traveller can find what they need. A city can be wonderful to visit and still be a 2/5 if halal food requires significant effort to find.
